Why It Takes ABC to Warn About Our Own Financial Wolves

I just read an account forwarded to me from a friend about Christian financial advisors done by ABC News. It’s so sad to me how gullible so-called Christians can be. The piece was really perceptive even though it was done by ABC news, and it is instructive for us today even though it was done early last year.

Basically, even ABC is right when it warns Christians to be able to see the forest for the trees, when it comes to financial advisors.

Early on in my blogging I mentioned the importance of being aware of financial  wolves — because I have been bitten myself, I can speak from experience. The tragedy I have witnessed, of financial advisors selling stuff they shouldn’t have been selling, just to make a commission, was heart-wrenching. I had to walk away from it, and that is how I got into selling metals.

As ABC mentioned, and as I have discussed before, the greatest characteristic of the days before Jesus’s return will be deception. Forgive me for being repetitive, but can you see it?  Why did Christians get on Douglas Andrew’s bandwagon and sell people larger mortgages in exchange for life-insurance policies? A very large church in the Dallas area had a financial advisor promote that concept, and many now are sorry they listened to it.

Of course, this advisor also recommended Andrew’s book, Missed Fortune, but refused to listen to me when I told him Jesus was coming back soon — and to stop selling annuities in favor of metals. A year ago, I still couldn’t find any certified financial professional among Christians I knew who were qualified to sell precious metals. There are no “trailer” commissions because gold and silver, of course, don’t produce paper profits and losses; and these advisors don’t understand economics, only “advising” that clients purchase derivative-based products backed by paper money.

However, now it is the “in” thing to sell metals. Worldly financial advisors have recognized the same thing, and it’s nearly impossible to consume any kind of mainstream-media outlet without running a gamut of gold sales pitches.

Why is it that the church has been promoting greedy, clueless financial advisors and not telling the sheep what is going on out there in this economic crisis? Two reasons: donations from the financial advisors that help support the church, and the fulfillment of prophecy that must happen in order for Jesus to come back. The deception had to come first.

It is so grievious to my heart that only my family understand the depth of emotional pain I endure as I watch this unfold. I am so thankful that the Lord, in His grace, allowed me to understand so I could warn others.

Please, sink your roots very deep. “Do not grow weary in well-doing for in due season you will reap if you faint not.” And please, be careful who you do business with, because the crooks are getting more and more desperate.

  1. Gold and silver are probably the most recognized precious metals in every corner of the globe.

  2. In fact there are precious metals only index funds that have the entire portfolio invested in either gold, silver, platinum, copper and other metals.
