The mark of the beast

Of all the Biblical prophecies that are being fulfilled, and those that yet must and will be fulfilled, one of the most interesting to me is the application of the Mark of the Beast foretold in Revelation 13. Applied by the forces of the Antichrist, it will permit him to restrict all buying and selling only to those who willingly bear it.

By now, it’s painfully obvious that many governments and large corporations, and certainly any new world order that would emerge from their amalgamation, have the technological capability to apply the mark of the Beast – today. And to control all of us economically using digital technology. The only question is who will attempt to harness that immense power, and when.

I think that the imminent fulfillment of this particular Biblical prophecy is so obvious that even non-believers would have to admit, in their soul, that Revelation has this absolutely nailed. And many secular privacy experts express a fear similar to the prophecy, but of course they don’t dare bring God into the picture!

Another thing to consider is that the mark of the Beast may well be placed inside of his victims as well as visibly on the skin. Comes word in this story, for instance, that RFID microchips could be implanted that would include enough of a poison to keep individuals “in line” lest they risk triggering their deaths.
