What in the Hell is going on? And why would people be shocked for me to write that?

Scripture is very clear that “the whole world lies in the wicked one.” (1 John 5: 19). Oh yeah, we’ve been taught that America is God’s blessed country, with a manifest destiny similar to that enjoyed by Israel.

But let’s wake up to reality. All Hell really is breaking loose around here. God’s hand of blessing is off America. America is reaping what she has sown: corruption, lies, tolerance of false gospel, sorcery in the church, legalized murder of babies, massive debt to the enemy. You think God is going to bless America? God is going to bless his real children. Are you one?

Why? Well, in case your church has not told you, we are in a battle — a battle for the souls of men. Read Ephesians 6:10-18. Didn’t know about the economic piece? It’s called the deception. Jesus warned in Matt. 24:4 and 24 and 2 Thess. 2: 3.

We think we are so sophisticated and cultured. We look just like Rome, and the Romans got their fun from throwing Christians to the lions and watching lions devour them in the Coliseum.

It’s a tough message: Read the Corrie ten Boom message in this blog. Read Hebrews 11. Yea, we’d prefer the feel-good gospel of 2009. But it isn’t going to play out that way, my friends. We are in the midst of the greatest economic crash this world has ever known, worse than l928-1934, the Great Depression. This one is being called The Greater Depression because the insurance companies are not going to bail out the banks like the last time. The U.S. government has already bailed out the largest insurance company, AIG. Where does that leave yours? It’s time to cling to God, not insurance companies.

Back during the Great Depression, at least there was a moral fiber to this country. But today, do you see much of that? It’s just like in the time of the book of Judges, when “every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” These are the days of the revived Roman Empire Daniel warned would be concealed until the end.

So, what should you be doing? Preparing. Buying gold and silver, storing food, gasoline, batteries. Yup, survivalist mode. Don’t believe the government. When have they been right?

And, find a fellowship near you that teaches this stuff. You’re going to need one another, just as Hebrews 10:24-25 says.  “Consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
