If David Wilkerson is Warning, We Should Pay Attention

David Wilkerson is one of the true prophets of the day. A few days ago, he began warning on his blog that a terrible horror is to soon attack our shores, involving fires and devastation of much of the East Coast.

“AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TRMBLE – EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US,” David wrote on his David Wilkerson Today blog http://davidwilkersontoday.blogspot.com/2009/03/urgent-message.html.

Wilkerson explained that he was “compelled by the Holy Spirit” to send out “an urgent message” about “a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires.” He goes on to warn about looting in Times Square.

The reason? “We are under God’s wrath,” David says. “God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations. He is destroying the secular foundations.”

Whatever the particulars, Wilkerson is right: The wrath of God is being poured upon this country. I love David Wilkerson and the courage he has had all these years to tell it like it is. Clearly he is an Ezekiel 34 shepherd. What does that mean? Please go read Ezekiel 34.

Wilkerson encouraged us personally when our Christian Information Bureau was marketing David Hunt’s book, The Seduction of Christianity, several years ago. The problem in the church today is that few read their Bibles: They don’t even know what Ezekiel 34 says! Read our post from yesterday.

2 Timothy:3: 1-5 describes the church in the last days. Verse 5 describes it as  “having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.”

How could a liberal like Obama be in the White House if the Church of Jesus Christ had done her job protecting the country God allowed us to have? Have there ever been so many noisy gongs and clanging cymbals in the church?

My friends: Listen to David Wilkerson. His February, 2009, monthly newsletter from  Times Square Church, now written by Carter Conlon, speaks the truth so clearly. The title of the monthly article is The Fellowship of Christ’s Sufferings.

What is so distressing is that few in the church are prepared. Why have other pastors and shepherds not warned the sheep like Wilkerson? One of my primary goals withUnreported World News is to find the shepherds so that when the economy collapses, and the severe trials come upon this country, the sheep will have protection.

I want to warn you that a day is soon coming when, like in the book of Acts, real believers had to mark in the dirt in front of their homes to identity themselves.

John 1:12 is true today: Jesus came unto His own but His own received Him not, but to as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God.

If I could make one message resound in this blog it is this: The apostasy, the falling away from the faith, is upon us. If your church promotes small groups that do not read the Bible, or you study books other than the Word of God: Beware.

If you go to a church that is into prophecy but they aren’t shouting the news, like David Wilkerson is: Beware!  The false prophets always ridiculed the real prophets, or ignored them, and the false prophets always tickled people’s ears with prosperity and lies when the axe was about to fall.

It breaks my heart that the sheep are not being told – and I understand how hard it is to know what to do.  I have implored pastors to heed the December, 2007, newsletter of David Wilkerson and warn the sheep that these are the last days. What did Jesus give us the signs for, if we are not going to correlate the signs with the times?

David Wilkerson is sounding an alarm that every pulpit in America in should be sounding. Is yours? If not: I’d strongly urge you to be aware of it, so you can “consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25. The day is drawing near!
