Don’t Get Too Attached to Your Earthly Dwelling

Should people be buying houses right now? The answer is: only if you live in a rural or even remote area, and you are prepared for the coming crash.

If you’re not – and that is most of us — do not buy a house or get a mortgage so that you’re tied to that house. Sell if you can; rent; and be ready to flee. When the crash comes, martial law will be declared and no one will be allowed to leave the city.

Tonight I was talking with a close friend. She understands what is going on in the New World Order, and her husband has made a living building million-dollar homes. Until now. Her very words to me this evening were that it’s their goal to find land with water and get ready to go there.

As she and I discussed the fire that recently ruined my family’s home, and from which we’re still slowly recovering, here is what I told her: God wants us all ready to pick up and be ready to leave to where He wants us to go, just like the children of Israel. Did they have mansions or even mortgages and plop themselves down for a lifetime? No.

Now, reasonably, Israel was their home eventually, and they had a fortified city with walls after they got there. It is so hard for us “sophisticated little dust people,”  as the great pastor and evangelist Stuart Briscoe used to say, to fathom being ready to flee. However, through the fire that our family has just lived through, that is the word I have heard from the Lord: Do not cling to your possessions. Let them go and cling to Him.

Romans 8:28 is my life verse: “For we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” Well, as we trust Him, and His word, even a house fire can turn to good. It has prepared our family to prepare to flee, to let go of everything, and to know that our citizenship is in Heaven as Philippians 3:20 says.
