Even Through a Fog of Sewer Gas, We Can Still See Clearly
Today, our family is homeless — again. This time, the house we had rented while our own home is being repaired, after a major fire, sprang a sewer leak. Did you know that sewer gas is more toxic than carbon monoxide? Well, we didn’t, but thankfully the poison-control people did. My wonderful doctor told me to call poison control while he prescribed lab tests because we’ve all been ill, living in this rental house for the past two months.
Everyone who knows me understands that I love to tell stories to show God’s hand, even as He took our family through becoming near-fatalities of gas poisoning. So today’s post will be brief, as we try to figure out where to live for awhile – again.
This World Net Daily story originally was broken in the print realm yesterday by the Washington Times, which in turn picked up the gist of it from Roger Hedgecock, a talk-radio host in San Diego and sometime substitute on Rush Limbaugh’s show. This is more of the same from the Obama administration of what I heard last year: that gun-registration bureaucrats are targeting U.S. military veterans, and that if they had a diagnosis of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, they were not allowed to have guns.
But this report shows that the federal government seems to be taking its wariness of those who disagree with it to whole new levels. Of course, conservative Christians are going to continually be painted as the “legalistic” right-wing fanatics who need to be eliminated. I have told you already that the United Nations is scheduled to vote on the Alliance of Civilizations in September. This proposed global treaty has as its No. 1 goal to “eradicate fundamentalism worldwide.” Conservative, Bible-believing Christians are among the targeted groups, along with Jews and fundamentalist Muslims.
Please — do not be distracted by the financial state of this country. The enemy has lulled American believers to sleep like the five unwise virgins of Matthew 25. Whatever you have to do to prepare, get gold and silver and do store food – do it! As we are watching for the bridegroom’s coming, we must be wise: The enemy of our souls is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy.
However, our family is inspired, not depressed, that our Redemption draweth nigh! We’ve been looking out our whole lives for Jesus’s return, and we are ready and watching. Are you and your family?
